I’m getting married in February. My dress is supposed to be in this December and then I will go in January for my first fitting. I’m losing weight right now but I got a call that my dress is in today and to call them when I want to come in an see it. This probably sounds weird but I don’t want to try it on yet. Is that normal? I was prepared to have 2 more months before trying it on.

I don’t know if it’s “normal” but I understand what you’re saying! If I wasn’t mentally (or even physically in the case that you’re trying to lose weight) ready for my dress I think I would want to hold off too!

I totally understand…you want to wait to see your dress till you’ve gotten closer to your shape-up goals. Nothing wrong with that!

I totally understand because I did the same thing–bought my dress and then didn’t want to see it cuz i was worried it wasn’t going to look good. Turns out I looked more fabulous in it than I remember!! It was freaking awesome! I would suggest going to check it out, even if you don’t try it on for the reasons stated above. You also might consider trying it on so track your progress–are you where you want to be at this point? behind? ahead? It will give you a good idea of what you need to be doing in the next few months 🙂

I totally felt this too. But I went ahead and tried it on and I loved it! I agree to go try it on to make sure color/style/size/everything is correct. Also, by trying my dress on I was able to figure out what I needed to work on fitness-wise.
