I do it, every single time I come home I open the door expecting him to be on one knee or something… I feel like a nutcase too!

I’d say do all the ‘what-if’-ing with a close friend and let him do his own thing. This has three benefits: 1. You still get to scheme 2. Close friend can always let Boyfriend or Best Friend know of some ideas or hints of what you would like and 3. It gives your Boyfriend or Best Friend some breathing room. My SO would kill me if I did that constantly to him πŸ™‚

Oh, you wanted a CURE!  Sorry, I got nothing. I’m suffering from a minor case of it myself. Hasn’t escaleted to telling him my ideas…yet

OHHH MY EFFING GOODNESS. ^^^ *THAT* is me to a T! And to the OP….there is no cure!! Trust me!! I hate the term “waiting” because it makes it seem pushing or annoying or negative lol but I’ve been “waiting” since May 2011. I mean, actually I’ve been waiting since the first date with my man. But literallllllllllly when he’s off and I come home from work when I open the door…I think he will have candles, flower petals, and he will be on one knee in our little living room. I will scream and grab him and cry and say “ARE U SERIOUS…REALLY!! OMG” and kiss and hug. Then I will notice the bling in the box and cry even more bc it will be so beautiful.

This happens to me 3x a week on his off days lmao. I am a certified psycho path. EVERY single occasion or outing, I expect it. We rarely get to see our family (we live in a different town) and everyyyyyyyytiiiime we go to see them I’m like…Okay, this is perfect. All of our family will be here and we can bask in our newly engaged glory. Haha. NOPE!!! Oh, I feel your frustration. just know it will happen. But no…there is no cure in sight.

πŸ™ this is a new thing for me! My bf got me a “pre engagment” ring for valentines day and I feel psycho for already thinking the real thing is coming soon!! When he gave me this ring a few days ago he said “soon” when you get the real ring I dont want it to ever leave your finger. That is driving me CRAZY! cause soon can mean tomorrow, in a week or 6 months from now!I know this feeling is only going to get worse. πŸ™ i feel for you. Good luck! At least you have a set time frame when it will happen!!

Haha! I’ve been guilty of doing this a few times. When we have been somewhere romantic or special to us and I think…could this be it? On Thanksgiving we went on a walk and he was giving me a tour of the elementary school he went to, showing me where he played, where his classrooms were, and it was just so sweet I thought it would be perfect timing. Ah, silly me!

I think we all do it!

It doesn’t matter what we are doing, I always get the “What ifs” and start preening myself and being on my best behaviour “just in case”.
