this is not very professionaly of them and terrible customer service- they should not have sold you a dress in the first place that my not have fit you – or if they didnt think they can do the alterations – sounds to me they completely ruined the dress. i would start looking for another asap – check local shops and weddingbee classifieds…and if they still refuse to work with you on this i would get the BBB invovled. they sold you a dress saying they can make it work, they cant and refuse to do anything. i cannot sta

Wow, that shop sounds awful!  Have you already paid in full for the dress?  If it obviously does not fit, then I don’t know how she can force you to take ownership of it and pay for it.  Is there something else you can exchange it for in that shop?  (not that I would want anything from them anymore, but at least this way you dont lose out on the cost of that dress).  How about a second opinion from another alterations person?  Some of them can seriously work magic, it doesnt sound like yours is one of them or even willing to try.  A friend of mine had a bridesmaid dress in a 2, and that bm dropped out and she had to alter that dress up to a 8 for a last minute bm… I dont even know where she found the fabric on the dress to let out, but she did it!

If it doesn’t feel right to you then it probably isn’t right. You aren’t losing your mind, these shops get numb to the fact that for each bride it’s the one and only (hopefully) time she is going through this process. So they forget that you are a real person with legitimate concerns and just because this is the way they always do it doesn’t mean it’s the only right way.

I went through the same thing with my bustle. The lady wanted to argue with me that it was right. I told her that I didn’t like it and wanted it done differently. Another lady helped me to get it the way I wanted and honestly I don’t care if they are annoyed or what they think.

I am paying a hell of a lot of money for something completely out of the ordinary and I deserve to have it the way I want it. And so do you. Good luck, I hope it gets fixed or that you can find something that you feel beautiful in. * BIG HUGS *

@kermie: Oh love, I wish I had GIANT FAT BOOBS, haha 🙂

Deep breath, it will be okay, and Fiance will be there to make it so. Glad she called back!

Just remember to breathe too!! Yes you have a right to feel the way you do, but people tend to retaliate when they’re being yelled at and such… so just remember to take a deep breath and know that everything will work out in the end- even though it may not seem that way!

Good luck tomorrow!

Is it strapless?

What about if you added a sash? Would it add some shape and keep it more form fitting?
