I think you’re very photogenic! Do you have foundation on? If you do, make sure and extend it onto your neck so everything blends together. I agree you need more blush and maybe soften the liner a bit (or when you do it again, apply it more lightly or just use eyeshadow). I love the redder lips! Makes your teeth whiter! Good job.

I think you did a good job- but yes, I would make the focus on one place- your eyes and go for a more nude colour on your lips. You have such nice eyes!!! I always just wear lip gloss and also concentrate on my eyes. And yes to blusher-it will make your cheekbones look nice and give you a bit of colour.

If you are using foundation, remember to use one without suncreen (SPF), because it makes your face look very pale on photo’s- I am fair skinned like you and I have a lot of pics where I look like a ghost.

πŸ™‚ And you Fiance is right, you are very pretty, no need for make-up everyday!

I actually don’t think it looks that bad.  You have BEAUTIFUL skin, by the way.  I’m jealous.

I think your biggest problem is how much eyeliner you put on your bottom lid.  That tends to close your eyes and make you look tired.  I would try it again, but only put liner on the outer half of the bottom lid, and make the line much thinner than you did this time around.  That will define your eyes without closing them.

I would also put some more light-colored eyeshadow right under the arch of each eyebrow.  That will also open your eyes.

I actually really like the shade of lipstick you’re using, especially with that shirt.  If you do choose to change the color to something more natural, though, I would try to do darker makeup on your eyes.

First off, you are gorgeous! I do have a few tips: Take an angled brush and some matte bronzer under your cheek bones and up to your temples. For the eyes, soften the lower liner by going half way on the lower lid, then blending in toward the inner corner of your eye

I watch a lot of make-up tutorials but this one is my favorite. A lot of other video’s of her’s have helped me as well.

Updated Face Routine!

Suggestions:

  • Lose the eyeliner.  I don’t think it does your pretty eyes any justice. I typically stick with just mascara.
  • Go with a more light lip gloss.  Enough to make you lips shine, but nothing too noticeable.
  • Add a bit more blush.
  • See if you can find a light colored bronzer to apply as well

These are just tips from my experience.  We have similiar skin color and the same eyes.  πŸ™‚
By The Way – you’re a gorgeous lady.  I can see why your Fiance prefers you with no make-up! πŸ˜€

You’re photogenic!  You might want to add a brow lighter — it’s a soft white shadow or liner just under your eyebrows and blend your eye shadows  well: )  I have to use brow lighter, too with darker hair and eyebrows.

I totally missed the ugly shaped face & unphotogenicness -Perhaps I’m looking at the wrong photos? πŸ˜€

I think you did a great job with your makeup. Maybe based on your complaints I would suggest using a lighter lipstick and more gloss(to make lips look fuller). Also, I personally would go a little ligher on the lower lid eyeliner -either a ligher colour or skip it and use just mascara.

I think you are lovely. Beautiful even! The first thing to remember with bridal make-up is that you have to go a little big darker as the camera needs a little help picking up color. The second is that you can get a free look at the MAC counter that you can go home and photo and try to recreate πŸ™‚

What are you talking about? You’re gorgeous!!

I agree with a softer lip; maybe try a lip stain in pink; it’ll look natural but bring out your features. I agree with more blush, but don’t go overboard. Maybe soften up the eye a bit? Use pencil liner instead of liquid and smudge it a bit (maybe even in brown). If your Fiance prefers you without makeup, you probably want to look natural…?

personally this is what i suggest:

lose the liner on the bottom of your eyes.. keep it on top though

go with a lighter shade of lipstick or a gloss, nothing too crazy

if you’re going to use a bronzer don’t forget to powder your neck

definitely do a little bit more blush, not just on the apples of your cheeks, drag it up to your ears.. it might sound crazy but trust me! (or try it out at least!)

don’t be afraid to pencil your eyebrows in, i’ve recently introduced eyebrow shaping into my daily routine and first felt a bit clownish with all that m/u on my face but got over it fairly quickly. My eyebrows now look faaahbulous πŸ˜‰

what mascara are you using? I HIGHLY recommend Maybelline Falsies (waterproof is always great because it won’t go anywhere but that’s a personal preference)

Don’t be afraid to put on a lot of makeup because you might feel like you’ve got a lot on and then you get the photos back and it looks like you haven’t got any on.

Finally, you’re beautiful so stop with that odd shaped face sh*t! you look great girl! have an awesome shoot, and feel better!

I think that you did a pretty good job and I agree with the amazing skin comments- wowza!

I also agree about the makeup on the bottom lash- it looks a bit too heavy, HOWEVER- are you wearing your glasses for your photos?  If you are, then I would still wear black eyeliner (or maybe a smokey purple or grey…both would look amazing with your brown eyes) because wearing glasses can make your eyes look smaller.  I’m a glasses wearing person as well and I was told that you should always go a bit heavier on the eye makeup if you’re wearing glasses.

Instead of liquid eyeliner, try using a small brush and a dark eyeshaddow.  It won’t look as harsh.
