teamroro :  gotcha. In that case, since I’m sure he’s shot at that location before, ask him if morning or afternoon light is preferred.

We were supposed to come here for our honeymoon but I broke my damn ankle. (Cries).

There’s other places guests can stay by the Chateu, we booked a mini cabin by there. Can’t say how it was though.

OMG though I would totally go because this is one of my bucket list places.

I assume by answering I’m automatically invited? because that place is BREATHTAKING. Sorry you had to scale down but this place is fabulous.

Are your guests flying into Calgary? It’s definitely a two-hour drive from Calgary to Lake Louise, just so you know. My vote is for Sunday morning because guests who can’t afford to miss a day of work could fly in Saturday and fly out Sunday afternoon/evening.

It’s a beautiful location and I’m so jealous – your pictures will be incredible! But do be aware that hotels in Banff are expensive and a two-hour drive from the airport is a hassle … make sure you take very good care of your guests for all the effort and money they are investing to attend.

teamroro :  You didn’t specifically say but is the balcony part of the suite or is it one of the verandahs in the public area of the hotel?

If it is part of the suite then you may be out of luck for a Sunday morning wedding due to the room still being occupied by the guests that have it rented on Saturday night. From my memory of staying there check out is 12pm and check in is not until 4pm which could also mess with a Friday evening wedding as well.

If the balcony is just part of the public area then I agree with pp’s that the morning is better and your photographer’s work looks amazing.

I personally don’t mind Friday weddings! I’ve been to a few and they have always felt exactly like a Saturday wedding vibe to me. I have never been to a Sunday wedding, but I imagine that it would wrap up earlier.

everything you just said, (including  the ‘pedantry’ about the use of the word elopement , I can barely ever let it  go by either lol.)
