Okay, so I have a dress on layaway at Davids Bridal. Everytime I think about it, I dont feel excited, I feel nervous, my hands tense up. I dont remember much of the feeling I felt when i put the dress on, I do remember that I loved the lightness of it, it was comfertable & looked simple & i loved the price. Were having a semi-formal backyard reception. Space is limited & I pictured how easy it would be to walk around in that dress. I put down 271.00, its been more than 7 days and I believe davids bridal “rules” is they keep 25% if you change your mind. I am contemplating going to another bridal store this friday and or saturday. However time is limited, im not even sure if its still possible?
anyone have any advice to offer?
The dress did fit big.

What’s wrong with that dress? It’s gorgeous 🙂

I think it is gorgeous on you, and will look much better when it is altered!

it’s beautiful and it looks great on you! i think it’s normal to second guess a purchase so big and so important, but focus on the way you felt when you had it on. you loved it for a reason.

I think you should go try it on again, so you can remember why you purchased it. It looks great on you, even though it hasn’t been altered to fit you.

I love the dress and how it looks on you, why would you want to return it?

Awwww, that dress looks gorgeous on you! I also think it sounds perfect for your backyard reception. You might feel completely different once you add accessories and see the final product.

I think you should go try it on again…because it looks wonderful on you.

I agree with noritake22 – perhaps you should go and try it on again. See how you feel and go from there! The dress is lovely though – good luck!

I like that dress a lot! I tried it on, but it just wasn’t the “one” for me. It is a nice light feeling dress. Any chance you can try on a sample that is closer to your actual size? I remember they put me in that dress and it was a size too big for me so I didn’t feel my absolute best in it.

I would try it on again. I know i thought I settled for my dress but then I tried it on again and I fell in love with it again.

I think it’s beautiful! I tried one really similar actually. I totally agree with everyone else – go and try it on again… I went so long between choosing my actual dress, and trying it at my first fitting that I was also starting to feel a bit unsure about it – but I felt so much better after I went and tried it on again. Plus, it will feel differently (better) once it’s been altered to fit YOU.
