Background: Our wedding date is 6/14/14 hopefully or a week before or after. My Fiance and I have been engaged since February ’12 (I know, crazy long! Lol).
So far I only ordered my dress, I did that February of this year. We’ve looked at venues and putting a deposit down at the end of this month/ mid September. I’m a student and Fiance is leaving California within the next month (sad face). We’ve looked at catering companies and I have an appointment next month for looking at cakes. I have an idea for flowers, favors, decor, bridesmaid dresses, colors, invites, and the theme. We have half of the wedding party but that’s it.
So because I just named a million things, let me recall what we have: my dress, the theme (sparkley vintage) & the colors (sangria, plum, ivory, & gray) and kinda half of the wedding party. But that’s it! I feel like I’m so behind! 🙁
What has all you other June 2014 brides done?

@tobemrstaddesse: I bought my dress last Nov, booked the venue in Feb (it was booked on my preferred date 2+ years in advance!), venue includes catering, my aunt is making our cake, theme picked (Love Birds), centerpieces being bought piece by piece, currently working on the escort card frames, booked our photog and took our engagement pics getting them back this week, STDS designed just waiting on e pics back, DJ and decorations come with venue package, got the majority of guest lists and addresses done, flowers pics (peonies & hydrangeas but haven’t booked florist), got the small decorations (card box, etc), picking our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses in Decemember, ordering invites in the fall. Booked our church and pastor, decor picked out for that. We asked all our wedding party last winter.
You still have time but all the vendors I talked to booked crazy earlier. Talked to 35 photograpehrs and only found 2 that weren’t booked yet 2 months ago. I’m also a student and will be going back to school this month. Fiance and I just bought a house and I hate that I’m going to have to leave it for 9 months!

@MrsN14: ah! You’re so ahead, I’m jealous 🙁
oh, I forgot about half of the stuff you mentioned! Lol we have the officiant, dj, and photographer. Flowers are all picked out just haven’t met with a florist. My dress comes in November so I’m hoping to have all the rest of the deposits down by then at least!

@tobemrstaddesse: You’ve got all the major stuff done! I know it’s hard being in school and trying to get stuff done so I think if you just take your time with the small stuff you’ll be fine!

@MrsN14: thank you for the reassurance! You don’t know how much I’ve needed it! Fiance is super picky about this day being picture perfect and you know men at that- wanting the woman to do most of the planning 😉

We are date twins!!! I have a dress, venue, photographer, florist, cake, wedding band, dj and officiant! We did a lot early because we live in another country and were in our home country so planned everything while we were there!
The important part is you already have an idea of what you want and the major stuff done! You will be fine theres still 10 months!

Another date twin here! We’ve also got most of the big stuff out of the way (venue, dress, DJ, caterer, florist, photographer, etc), but that’s mostly because I’m starting grad school and things will be pretty crazy until the wedding. I think you’re totally fine, you have plenty of time to get everything done!

We attended a Wedding Show st the end of January and that gave us sooo many ideas and kind of brought all the venues/florists/photographers/bakers to us!!
we have booked our Venue (country club) , florist , photographer/videographer , cake …
Im an eager bride so I’ve started on a lot of the little details or our big day–

Booked venue, photographer, DJ. Have bridal party for both sides. Found dress and will be ordering it next month, working on making veil. Got lots of material like centerpiece and decoration stuff. Also have my shoes! Picked our colours. Save the dates done and being sent out end of the month. The officiant is booked. Rings bought. Guest list done. Have material for invitations. Will be making cupcakes instead of having a cake, materials like cupcake holder already bought and currently being strassed! Been engaged for 2.5 years already so lots done haha 🙂

@tobemrstaddesse: We’ve been engaged since March 2012 so we have a similar engagement timeline!! So far we have our venue, photographer, videographer, DJ, caterer (comes with venue), wedding planner/coordinator, honeymoon reservations, colors, and rehearsal dinner.
We did have an officiant but he bailed (:( long story)
I’m getting so nervous that I haven’t picked out a dress yet but that is what I’m currently working on! I’ve been to 5 different bridal shops so far and I’m going to my final one next week so I should have a decision by the end of next week on the dress.
Next up: Baker & Florist – I imagine this will be easy because I am 95% sure who I want for both I just need to set up meetings with them.

Uh… I haven’t done much… We got egaged July 2012 and getting married 28 June.
We’ve got a venue, colours, and a provisional menu. We’re waiting to hear back from the venue with regards to a table mock up and whether or not they can work with us on our chosen menu. I have also bought my ceremony sari. I plan to wear a white reception dress and am currently going through drama with the dress shop 🙁 I also have a rough invitation designed.
We really need to crack down on meeting other vendors but FI’s schedule is so insane it’s difficult!

I think you’re doing good! I’m getting married 5/2/14 and we got engaged 9/2012…so we’re having a long engagement too. The upside about that is you have more time to get things done! It sounds like you have all the major stuff taken care of! Just pick a few things to focus on at a time and you will get stuff done without completely overwhelming yourself! My family is all on the opposite side of the state…so i’m just doing the majority of the planning myself…i know if can definitely feel overwheling…but breaking it up will definitely help 🙂

I’ve booked everything! I live in a different city than my wedding 9 months of the year so I wanted to get it all booked while I was in town for summer break. I’m DIYing a bit, but I’ve made good progress there. I have all the supplies and a prototype for our Save-The-Date Cards and I’ve made 78/100 invitations. The invitations take over an hour each and school is about to start up, so I need to get moving on those and hopefully finish them in the next few days!

I literally have just confirmed that the venue I want at my destination wedding has Sunday, June 29, 2014, available.
I have not booked it. I have not send Save-The-Date Cards. I have not picked invites. I have not even gone wedding dress shopping except for 1 time alone on a whim.
Luckily, w/ DWs, they pretty much do everything for you so there isn’t going to be much that I need to do.
