My wedding was planned for 50 people and ended up being about 35, it was really easy.
ETA: forgot this. a friend who’s a photographer took the pics, my husband wore a suit he owns, and I wore a short cream dress I got at a regular store
First I found the space I wanted. I googled “event space” as well as “venue” and I asked a million places if they allowed outside catering.
Then I found a catering company and we planned an apettizers only menu.
Then I found a DJ.
And I was done planning!
I called a bakery three days before and asked for 4 cakes. The morning of the reception I woke up at 10 am. My husband took me to pick up the cake. Then we went and picked up the alcohol at a big liquor store. Then we drove to the venue where a close friend did my hair and I did my own make up. Then another friend came to the venue a little early with jars and grocery store flowers and we set them up on the tables.
And that was it!
