Don’t feel bad, I was like that before my first shower too. None of the stuff on our registry was going at all and I wondered if no one was coming to our shower. Turns out not a lot of my family went with registry gifts, which turned out to be a really good thing because one of our favorite gifts was a complete picnic backpack with glasses and placesettings for four. So cool, but was not on our registry.

Absolutely not! I would be the same exact way. No fear. It could be that people have bought items, but not posted it to the registry. (Don’t they realize we are looking! jeez) Also, most people do wait until the last minute. I wouldn’t worry too much. People will definately be there and it will be beautiful. Good luck!

I feel exactly the same way!  Mine is actually later today and I just checked and nothing has changed.  My first thought is that maybe they did buy things in the store but forgot to give the registry to the checkout person so that it gets removed.  However, the less rational part of my brain is thinking that no one got anything or they went off-registry.  I am sure that things will be fine, but I can’t helping worrying.  It must be a pre-requsite for being a bride is to worry about things that I normally wouldn’t care about.  I’ll keep you posted as to what happens.

Don’t worry!

Some people just aren’t as early-bird shoppers as you are 🙂

Quit peeking haha j/k – I bet you’ll see things get purchased the day of the shower, even! I do know my mom has been known to purchase something from the registry at another store! B/c she had coupons or something. So that could be an option too.

Guess you’ll just have to be surprised! Enjoy!

I felt the same way with my first shower.  Some people waited until the last minute to buy things, but a lot of people just forget to/or had trouble with taking things off the registry.  It’ll be okay.

Remember- most people will do their shopping over the weekend.  I bet some stuff gets bought today and tomorrow 😉

Maybe your shower has a theme that’s making people shop off registry?  Even if it’s something like an “around the clock” theme, or a recipe shower people might be having to get creative.  You’re supposed to bring your best recipe, a non perishable ingredient from it, and the tools one would need to make it.  I went to one of these once and brought a box of cake mix (recipe on the back, since I’m not much of a baker/chef), a mini muffin tray and a pretty cupcake stand, all off registry.

My shower’s in 2 weeks and I’ve only had 2 things go off my registry…I think it’s a combo of people waiting until the last minute and not going off the reg…Don’t worry, it will be fine!!

I stalked my registry the whole time and I was so surprised to see how many gifts were bought the day before or the day of the shower!  I do that for baby showers all the time, I just go out before the shower and get something.  Alot of people unfortunatley are not good RSVP’ers either, just have someone who is planning the shower call them and find out if they are coming.  Im sure you will have a great time!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one. My bridal shower is in 2 weeks and no one has bought us anything either! Thanks for sharing. I feel a little better now. 🙂

Back!  I can offically say that there were quite a few items that I know were on the registry but just for some reason did not get marked off (i.e. Target, way to not show things!).  Don’t worry, enjoy what you get, and if you have to, return it!
