EXERCISE! Do some jumping jacks and every time you feel some part of your body jiggle, imagine that the fat is jiggling itself away. That’s what I imagine is happening. Embarassed

exercise is the best anti depressant. even a walk for an hour helps. try the above comment and do some jumping jacks. you can do these types of exercises in your lounge where noone can see you if your embarrassed. and nutrition too – try eating healthy for a week and see how you feel. you will be a different person and i bet your marriage improves as your mood etc does. good luck

Ok, EVERY woman is beautiful, no matter what…so step one for you is shut up with all that crap.  Remember that all marriages go up and down, and as long as you love each other it’s ok to meander through a slump…and far a those days go when I’m feeling just not quite as sparkly as usual, OR I’m taking on water like the Titanic…I find that getting out in this world and DOING something with some good friends is some good medicine.  Try some Bikram Yoga and sweat that negative crap right out of yourself, follow it up with some wheat grass and a nice massage, you’ll shine up like a new penny!

Having a long, hot bath; giving myself a facial; then doing my hair (blow-dry and heated rollers), putting on make-up and a flattering outfit just to curl up and watch a favourite movie!

If all else fails -put on lipstick!

My mom swears by that! And I actually fall under the spell too. If I put on lipstick, i automatically feel beautiful!

@SpecialSundae:  I DO THAT TOO!  Only, I’ll wait for Mr. 99 to go out for the day or something, and I’ll get all fabulous, make something delicious for him to come home to and relax on the couch…he comes into a great smelling house with this nonchalant and gorgeous wife laying there like, Yeah, I just look great to lay around…hungry?

I give myself extra attention. Long hot bath, a nice body lotion, and I do my nails (or go have them done). I make sure to go slow with it and pamper myself.

@starrynight:  I’m in a similar state at the moment but a bath and some TLC for your hair will do wonders. My skin is appalling at the moment, my hair is dull and I can’t even sort it because I burnt my wrist cooking dinner.
