I think I’ve mentioned in other dress-related posts… I did really love my wedding dress when I bought it, but I didn’t have a tearing-up moment. I realized there were tons of dresses I liked, and the one I chose looked great, fit the wedding, was a good deal, and went with the veil style I really wanted.
Well, ladies, I did have a few small flickers of doubt after too many Say Yes To The Dress episodes and too many bridal magazines/Dress posts since I purchased my wedding gown. Not so much that I’d get a different dress, but enough that I wished I’d shopped more.
So last night my dress was supposed to be ready (another story) so I went to pick it up.
And, looking over the dress and seeing it again with the veil, I fell in love all over again. My mom said my face lit up. I felt excited, and totally ready to wear it.
Maybe it’s the “My Wedding Dress” factor that set it apart this time, but I didn’t feel any bit regretful when I walked past the dress that had been the other front runner. I am so excited to wear that beautiful dress for my FH. When I got home, I told him, “I am so going to kick your a– in that dress.”
So if you’ve ordered your dress and you’re experiencing a little regret… don’t lose the faith! Hopefully when it comes in you’ll remember why you fell in love the first time. 😀
