So we bumped up the wedding to this summer – August, to be exact. So far the venues and photographers and everything has just fallen beautifully into place. Which is… unexpected, and a total blessing. I mean, I have less than three months to plan!
OK. So. I’ve been looking at Lazaros – I love everything about them except the price. Once we bumped up the wedding, though, I realized that there will be no Ordering of the Dress, because let’s face it, it ain’t gonna get here in time. And then suddenly, I fall in love with a dress. A dress that isn’t $6000. A dress that isn’t even *$1000*. Or even half of that! I feel so strange, like I’m not allowed to love a dress that doesn’t break the bank…
Tell me this dress isn’t gorgeous.

I think it’s very romantic & beautiful…..sigh….and you’re tall (if I remember correctly), I could never pull off rockin’ a dress like that but I totally think you could!

I know, it’s just so romantic!
My only worry is that I’m in love with the *photo*, not the dress. And since I’d have to order it through JCrew online, how do I go about trying it on?!

Doesn’t J.Crew allow returns of wedding dresses? You could just order it, try it on (carefully!), and if you’re not in love with it, return it!
From their FAQ linked from that dress page: Within 60 days of original purchase: J.Crew accepts returns if a dress is unworn, unwashed, and unaltered. Refunds must be accompanied by the original receipt and will be made in the form of the original payment.

Gorgeous. And, you can crop it to a cocktail length to wear it afterwards if you want to!

i think it’s beautiful! it’s not about how much the dress costs, but how you feel in it. think of your savings as a bonus! 🙂

Your dress is absolutely stunning. If I were blessed with the height, I would definitely be tempted to snatch that up! To echo everyone else, it’s definitely about the way it makes you feel. No one has to know how much (or how little) you spent as long as you’re happy =).

That’s beautiful and I think it’s perfect for a August wedding. I think you can order and then return as long as the tags and everything are still in place if you don’t like it later.
You could always search on Craig’s List if you don’t like this dress and find unworn dresses from other brides. That way you’d forego the ordering process.

Ugh, that dress is gorgeous. I’ve been drooling over it for months now…it’s flowy, romantic and affordable! I unfortunately, do not have the figure of that model or anything close for that matter. But I definately plan on trying this one on!

That dress is gorgeous! I love The Crew and think their dresses are elegant and classic. As far as I know, JCrew doesn’t usually have the Wedding/wedding party dresses in stock in the store. However, I checked their website and you can order the dress, then return it if it doesn’t work within 60 days…
