You should post a picture so we know what it looks like :).

i just looked it up, and that is quite a dress! i wouldn’t count on finding it used since it’s so different.

Whoa! That dress is intense. I have no suggestions. As kitzy said it might be hard to find a used version. I don’t even know a similar dress to try. Is there anywhere in your overall budget you could find the money?

That dress is goergous. Unfortunately, it is very expensive. I’m sure you can find another dress you love for a cheaper price. Good luck.

I love the neckline the most! Once you take the neckline away then I’m sure there is a similar dress closer to your budget, but I doubt it will ever live up to that dress in your eyes.

I know how that feels. I fell in love with a dress I cannot have as well. I agree with looking for used ones! I myself am talking my self out of loving the dress and finding a different one. I hope you can get the one you love =)

@gypsyprincess: Yea i know the feeling! And I agree it could be hard because it is such an unusual dress. Mine is on a much lower scale though, my entire budget is $1000 and the dress I fell in love with is $850 (final sale price, originally $1150) and I can only find it used for about $700.

I feel like if your going to cut down the neck anyway you can find something with a chiffon ruffle skirt that is less expensive. I think the neck and bottom combo is what made it so unique.

I know it’s totally not the same, but have always adored this Galina Signature gown from DB:

It’s got such flair and personality. Maybe it’s not as luxurious as the Demetrios, but ou could always work with a seamstress to add some details to make it your own.

I’m so sorry you’re having this issue. I went through the same thing when I thought I couldn’t live without the Vera Wang “Diana” (or at least a very good copy!) I got over it though, so even if you can’t find this dress, I promise you WILL find the perfect one =)

We carry Demetrios in our Bridal salon and that price seems really marked up. Email me at [email protected] to remind me to check the price when I go back to work in the morning. I am sure I can do much better than $4,000

Maybe you could get something similar custom made for cheaper using different materials? Or I’m sure there’s something similar out there with a lower price tag. Its a gorgeous dress!

I used a Chinese replica site called http://www.tiffanybridals.com and
I LOVE my dress but I did not see your style on thier site.

I saw one here:

http://www.bestdressprice.com/index.php?main_page=product_free_shipping_info&cPath=1_34&products_id=5431

but I cannot vouch for this site.

The place I ordered has a “my own design” and I chose this site because I could have them customize my size. After my first fitting I have liitle sizing other than length but I may just be lucky.  There are many horror stories on here about Chinese sites but I was very happy and even my seamstress is impressed.
