jaqawilliams :  Your new wedding set is so so gorgeous – I love how elegant and classy it is!

I’m still searching for ring peace….my husband and I were not knowledgeable in the process of finding an engagement ring and opted for a nearby mall jeweler….and while they work perfectly for many people we ended up having a lot of issues with the center stone becoming loose in its prongs – over and over again. I probably didn’t even get to wear my e-ring for 10 weeks out of my whole engagement since it takes 2 weeks every time for each repair session! I love rings so much and have a lot of other gemstone rings/sets I wear in addition to my original set (which FINALLY got fixed permanently last summer), but in my heart I know I’m still looking for my “forever” set, which will probably end up being a 10 year anniversary gift. We simply can’t justify the cost when there are so many other things that take priority over rings atm like buying a home, cars, etc. But one day I hope to achieve ring peace as you have! In the mean time I do love my first wedding set, which is everything I like in a ring (milgrain, scroll, etc).

jaqawilliams :  Beautiful set!! Very classy. 😜 I am biased

How does the eternity/ 5 Stone work for you though? That’s where I try to find my ring peace. I wanted that look and it took about 3-4 weeks for me to notice the damage the neighboring diamonds made to me ering setting. Now I am wearing my plain Jewish wedding band in between my ering and my actual wedding band. It wasn’t meant to be like that but it prevents the damage. I think I read to the end of the internet and didn’t find a solution. There are a lot of articles on that particular problem on pricescope

the second picture is taken 3 weeks after the wedding. It made me very sad and I contacted everyone I could think of. No solution but soldering (I can’t do it (full eternity) and frankly I don’t want to either)

jaqawilliams :  those rings are perfection! So glad you finally found ring peace! I totally get it! Long story short after wearing my rings (ering and guard) for 7 years they had sustained some damage. I wore them 24/7 and never took them off; not doing that again-oops. Well when I took them to get repaired it was so costly that I opted to reset. I put my diamond into a cheap halo and went elsewhere for custom wedding bands. Well the “jeweler” completely botched my wedding bands. I was heartbroken but thanks to this board found David Klass. He restored my faith and made my dream a reality! Once I had my perfect wedding bands I realized that the cheap halo setting wasn’t going to cut it so I had him work his magic and create a custom setting for my diamond. It feels so good to love your rings!!! I may upgrade in the distant future but this set is so special to me I will always keep it or pass it down to my children if it happens☺️

jaqawilliams :  Thanks! It’s my birthstone. The setting is unfortunately very low – if you look and see where the band meets the ring, that’s as close as it will get. Since I want moissanite, I’d prob have to go custom or deal with a gap. Or wear a thinner band. I just love the large 5 stone look! Not sure if I want them flush, but a bit closer would be nice. I don’t think I mind the gap though.. but to wear a spacer would make it even bigger lol πŸ˜›

MiaSuperstar :   I had the same problem with my 7 stone ring.  They are 3mm and set pretty high.  I had no intention of getting a spacer or another ring, but it was driving me crazy that my prongs were being damaged.  This was my solution and I’m super happy.

catgirl447 :  that really looks cute!! I like it.

I am just to afraid of the prong situation. I am not sure if the damage could be repaired and at what cost…

I think my last picture wouldn’t want to upload so here we go again
