@totheislnds: I was just going to say I make pizza dough in ours all the time.

Homemade ravioli with the pasta maker.

@Lalai: Um, now I’m totally putting this on my birthday wish list.

Ohhh definitely go for the ice cream maker attachment!

I have a separate ice cream maker but I would probably go with the KA attachment otherwise. I made the most incredible Cookies & Cream ice cream a few weeks ago! It is great for sorbets too- strawberry, mango, pineapple, etc. Cheap desserts when the fruit is in season 🙂

The Kitchen Aid was the first appliance my mother bought me when I got an apartment in college.  It is THAT ingrained in our lives.  I have pictures of me at 3 years old standing on a stool next to her mixer (still going strong…it’s about 30 years old!) “helping” with cookies.

I’m a baker, so I eventually sold mine and upgraded to the Cuisinart.  I don’t think they’re made the same way as they used to.  My mother’s is still going strong.  Mine started to protest mixing thicker doughs at the 10 year mark.  I wound up upgrading to the Cuisinart.  I find the food processor attachment the most useful…I think there’s one for Kitchen Aid.

My Cuisinart with the food processor attachment…before I got granite countertops. 🙂

Anyway, it sounds like it’s time to make some cookies!
