- Wedding: March 2012
After weeks of light shopping at home, I finally went to NYC with my best friends and Future Mother-In-Law to try on the dress I really love. We started the morning at Kleinfeld and I ::nearly:: said yes to a lovely Kenneth Pool, but I had to be sure.
Vera Wang’s flagship is lovely and offers a completely difference experience from Kleinfeld. Quiet, very few brides, with champagne, cookies to nibble on. The girls had a great time while I was a ball of nerves.
I made my appointment a couple months ago, not knowing there would be a special Royal Wedding discount (10%) and complimentary veil with purchase. Score!
Here’s the dress from the runway where you can actually see the beautiful rosettes and the continuous organza wrapping into the rosettes. The sample I tried on didn’t show these well at all because it was worn out from being tried on so much.
Here it is! I also purchased the translucent sash with similar blush blizzard beading. The flare will be adjusted for my height. 🙂 I’m covering my face because I look like an emotional wreck. I can’t ::wait:: to see the actual dress, not just the poor sample. The rosettes are going to be so fluffy and stunning.
Train. I think someone else took a photo where it was adjusted, but I’m waiting for them… Excuse the spanx. 🙂
