@bakerella: LOL. Good luck! I have to say getting all my crap changed is one of my biggest stresses for after the wedding. I’m such a procrastinator.

@bakerella:  Congratulations!  Was the Mr. getting worried that you wouldn’t change your name at all?

Don’t feel bad – I’m at almost 8 months out and am defintely not done yet.  I do have my new social security card and driver’s license – but that’s about it!  I still need to change passport, credit cards, work, car title, etc.

It’s such a not-fun process!

@bakerella:  It has been 9 months since our legal wedding and havn’t change a thing yet, I am so bad.  Instead of driving the one mile there today, and I am off and it will not be busy on St. Pattys day, I am sitting here on WB waiting for the corned beef to get done.  I am so wrong, just so wrong.

@bakerella: Yeah – I travelled last week on my old passport.  My company sent me to a conference in Malaysia so I was really glad I hadn’t sent the passport away for the name change or I might not have had it available (the conference was super last-minute).

Yay! I changed my name asap because I knew it would never get done if I hadn’t. I still haven’t changed it on everything, only legal stuff.

Bakerella, the first step is always the most difficult. One I have yet to take yet. Lol Gotta start with SS number then the DMV and so on. But I’m more concerned about changing my e-mail-I have two accounts with the old last name. That seems to the biggest pita so far. What are you all doing about that?

@bakerella:

Oh man, I was afraid you were going to say that! I think of this process like an avalanche or a giant snowball-once I get going, there’s going to be a MILLION changes, like off the top of my head, Amazon, ebay, netflix, itunes, to name just a few, family, friends, library, doctors, banks, etc. Ugh. But it will be worth it ’cause I love my new last name and I get such a thrill from being Mrs. So and So:) Anyway, I will take your idea and create a new e-mail and just start using now. I just wish there was some way to “forward” IP addresses, like at a post office. Lol

I figured there might be some way to link accounts but I’m lazy about learning stuff like that. I’ll be starting my process next week-good luck on the other 18,000 lol
