I agree..After 21 there is no point in keeping track. It’s kinda the last milestone age for awhile with perks.
16 – learner’s permit/driver’s licence
18 – legal/can buy cig’s if your a smoker
21 – can drink
What else is there? I guess 25 you can legally rent a out a house, car, hotel room since most places don’t let you before then, but really what is next besides retirement age?
My birthday was the other day so I’m also having a hard time adjusting to 24…I asked my 7 yr old nephew how old I was the other day and he said 38, now that makes me as old as his mom! He laughed like a little devil

My fiance had to point out that I’m actually 31, not 30. Thanks, dear. Grrrrrrr.

Yeah, that happens to me all the time. I think after 21, you don’t remember anymore!

Yup, after 21 it gets a bit foggy. I got “stuck” at 22. From 22-25 I kept thinking that I was still 22 it happened multiple times!
Now I’m 26 and I can see that 25-30 will be a bit foggy too, I’ve already said the wrong age a few times.

I frequently have to calculate my age from my birth year. Since 26, I’ve been confused. 😉 I think maybe it just doesn’t matter as much anymore.

I haven’t gotten used to 24 yet, the week we get back from our Honeymoon I turn 25, and I bet by then I’ll be used to 24! LOL!

LOL, I also agree with you ladies, after 25 I’m like great, it’s all down hill from here. LOL
I get ID’d all the time so I have to think wait a minute I am over 21…LOL
The years just fly by and it doesnt help that every year after 25 I have turned 25.

This has totally happened to me!
Especially when I get those drop down bars that say 21-25 and 26-30! I feel as if I should still be in the 21-25 box – I don’t want to be in the 26-30 box

I’ve done this before. I had someone recently ask my age and I responded “29”…Um, yeah…I’m 31. I don’t know where that came from!

I have done that so much lately that I had to ask my husband if I was 31 or 32. I think the reason for this is since I am over the half way mark till my 32 birthday I have already started preparing myself to admit that I will be 32.

I forgot my SSN this week, which I’ve known since probably elementary school, lol.

I did this a few weeks ago! I was like, “blah, blah, blah… I’m 31… blah, blah – WAIT. Am I 31 or 32? Shit! I can’t remember! Okay, born in 1977… do the math – crap. I’m 32.”

I also did this when I went in to get emissions on my car – the guy asked me what year it was.
I said ’96.
He came up to me later and whispered, “Uh, ‘mam? I just wanted to let you know that your car is a 2006.”
I knew that! I DID!! Why did I say ’96??? I blame bride brain, since I was one month out at that point.

I forget the SOs age a lot. We always make fun of him for being old when in reality he is only 3 years older. I think after 21 there is just so little significance to each number that it becomes harder to remember. And it’s not like you get asked your age all that often.
