Oh man…it just occurred to me that I did not tip my hair and makeup person. I was paying by check, and I guess I am just not used to tipping when I’m paying by check :S. Should I just leave it alone or apologize to her or mail her a tip??

Depends how long ago it was. If its like within a week I might go back there and give a tip. If its been longer I would probably just apologize at wedding and give a tip.
Side note though I had no idea anyone excepted checks anymore. Are you from a small town?

Hey its okay, I just left her $10. I figure I’ll give her a nice tip at the wedding. You may want to send her a quick email if you feel bad but she probably won’t care too much. How long did your’s take? Including extensions, we were in and out in under 2 hours. But I only did the traditional foundation and 1 hairdo.

How much is normal tip for hair stylist? 15%?

@PuntaCanaBride: It was within a week, but don’t live in the same city as her, so I would have to mail it… should I mail it then?
haha no, I’m not from a small town and she isn’t either. Really? I’ve been mailing checks to almost all my vendors!
I feel like a jerk but I also don’t want her to do my wedding hair thinking there’s no tip in it for her anyway…

@Ginger123: Mine took 3 hours…yeah, she let me do both foundation types and 2 hairstyles, which was very nice of her. And after I left, I suddenly felt like I was going to pass out from hunger, so I can only imagine how she felt!

I would mail her a tip with a note. It will keep your relationship with her good and she is someone you want to have a good relationship with. I am sure she will understand and even appreciate your attention to it.
