I’ve been searching for rings since the original Tacori one I wanted is discontinued. I found a Leon Mege one that I really liked but Im not sold yet. Then tonight as I was on the Tacori site I came across this ring. First of all deep down I really want a Tacori ring. I know its kind of shallow that I want the name but I just love them and I know they are good quality and the detail in their rings is so gorgeous. I want a cushion cut even though it is pictured with a round, altough I do love the round in this setting…not quite sure what a cushion would look like in it. My favorite part is the 8 prongs. The original one I wanted had eight prongs (second pic). Also considering having the band engraved like the second pic. What are anyone’s thoughts? Also the last 2 pics are the stock pics.

@eraines46: i think it’s really pretty. i like it much better with the round stone, but that is true for me with basically any setting.

Very beautiful ring! I like the round pictured but my second favourite diamond shape behind the oval, is a cushion…. Love

Both of those rings (the one you’re considering and the one you loved but is no longer available) are beautiful. When you say that you want to have the other ring engraved like the second picture shows, I’m not sure I understand, since the only engraving I see is from the manufacturer, bearing the Tacori and Plat (for platinum) stamps. However, the band of the ring you’re considering is far less detailed (no diamonds on the top and sides, no milgrain) than the original ring you wanted. Will having a plain band bother you, if your original desire was for one so detailed? Finally, I am not a ring expert by any means, but I am simply wondering whether the eight-prong setting you are considering would be able to be used with and give the same effect to a cushion-cut diamond. It may very well be possible, but I am just wondering.
ETA: I am posting from my phone, and the pictures are small. I just zoomed in on the band in the original ring you loved, and now I think I know what you mean. It appears that the band does not actually have diamonds but, rather, beautiful, engraved detailing. Sorry that I didn’t enlarge the pic sufficiently on my phone screen before I posted! I clearly am not quite awake yet, haha.

Ohhhh, I love Tacori too! Wish I had one, or at least something more Tacori-like with more detail. Your choices are beautiful. I love interesting detailed prongs.

Gorgeous setting! Love the 8 prongs too…they will keep your stone from getting loose! I would engrave the shank because it seems you really like these tacori-like details. You found something so similar to your initial ring, hopefully you can put that tacori behind and move forward with a ring you love 🙂
