After a little bit of stress on my part (I thought I wanted a lace dress with some sort of sleeves and ended up getting a stain strapless dress), I finally ordered my dress… La Sposa Fanal. I know a lot of brides have worn this dress over the past couple years since it orginally came it in 2009 (this was another reason I was stressing out), but luckily no one in my circle of friends or family have worn anything like it, so I decided that it isn’t a big deal. Here are some pictures of me in the dress. Ignore the weird faces and bad hair; I was caught in a rainstorm walking in, and I was really concentrating hard while trying it on!
Here is the front. I am not sure if I am going to get this same belt or not. I am either thing something similar or just a plain sash. I still have plenty of time to decide.
I am planning on turning it into a sweetheart neckline
And the back

yaay congrats! I think your serious face is awesome. =D You look amazing in the dress! I know what you mean- I’ve never seen anyone wear my dress and my brother’s getting married in october…I dunno what I’d do if his fiance had the same dress as me haha.

beautiful dress… but i have to say that in the first picture, you look miserable and almost like an actual model for a dress. alot of models look miserable.

Thank you guys! I really appreciate all of your kind words! It really helps me to be more satisfied with my dress selection. It wasn’t at all what I thought I wanted, but when I went in to try it on a 2nd time to show my sister, I found out that it was going up $200 the next day which would push it out of my budget. I had to make a decision that day, so I felt it was pretty rash. I hadn’t even had an “offical day” of dress shopping. I just was going to try on some to see what I liked before everyone else starting giving me their opinons. I have to say though, it does feel good to have the dress picked out. I feel a huge weight (one I didn’t even know existed) lifted off my shoulders.
@murmur: I am lucky enough that no one else is getting married in the next year (so far) in my circle of friends or family, so I am safe. Most of my friends and family have worn a poofy dress, so I think I am safe with this style. I would seriously have a panic attack if someone I knew picked the same dress… who knew I would become such a bridezilla!
@rosworms: I was miserable at the time! I totally wasn’t expecting to like a plain, satin, strapless dress. I was totally distraught! Plus, this was probably after I found out the dress was going up $200 the next day, so I really had to make my decision quickly!
I do feel like I should make a disclosure that I am not as tall as I look in the first picture. I am acutally standing on the pedestal; I am just that short that you can’t even tell the pedestal is there!

I think you look awesome! It’s a beautiful dress! I also went with a dress that was nothing like I pictured myself wearing, but it’s so right for me that I’m a 100% happy with my decision.
