I think I have found my dress. I went to another store to try it on and it was much closer to my size, but they didn’t allow pictures. I really fell in love!
Any real brides with bustle ideas? It is the Maggie Sottero Milana.
I have attached photos of the dress on the model and in me. Be aware that the dress of me in the pic is a size 14 and I am a size 8 dress, so it has a weird fit at the waist.

I also plan on adding more tulle to the bottom to poof it out more and to add some cups in the bodice to give me a better bust.
Also, at Jays Bridal online the dress is about $100 cheaper than it was at the store since they are not charging me tax or shipping.
What do you think, should I order it online or get it from the store anyway?

One thing to consider about buying online without tax — you usually still have to declare that on your state income tax return and pay your state’s taxes anyway. They ask for any online or out of state purchases, so you might end up paying that anyway.
I was going to use a french bustle on this dress. It looks amazing on you!

Looks sooo pretty! great find!

Thanks! Good thing about TX is that we do not file state income taxes, just federal so I wouldn’t have to pay taxes on the dress if I didn’t order online.
Is $100 enough of a savings to order online and avoid any issues. Online ordering is just so scary to me. I am going to ask the dress shop what they can do for me. Even it they throw in a free veil or head piece I will stick to the store in town rather than order online…right?
I am so indecisive and the lady kept pushing me to order. I’m just not sure if I am ready to order a whole year before my wedding.

I think that saving $100 on your dress is not worth the hassle if something goes wrong. If the shipment is delayed or something is wrong with the dress it will be much easier to drive to the store around the corner to deal with it.
If you were saving like 10-20% off of the dress, I would say maybe its worth it. Also, ask the salon if they will price match or throw in some extras for free. You never know, they probably want the sale!
The dress is really pretty, not sure how to bustle but I would make sure to ask before you buy it!

Yay – another Milana bride! I think I’m going with a “standard” bustle. I have my first fitting in July and will have some real-life photos to share after that (I’m also having them add extra tulle under the dress to add more pouf to the bottom).

Goldilocks, I can’t wait to see the bustle on your dress and your first fitting. I just ordered my dress today in the light gold/champagne lace. I am also adding crinoline at the bottom since I do NOT want to wear a mermaid petticoat!
I am so excited and I can’t wait! Bad thing is, my wedding is 1 year away so I have to wait! No more looking at dresses for me!
