Perhaps he financed it and is waiting until it is paid off?

If it’s really bugging you bring it up! Not that you found the ring, but ask about a timeline.

Edit! Just read that you got the proposal ๐Ÿ™‚ Yay!

I knew about my ring 7 months in advance.  I finally had a sit down conversation with him because there were so many perfect times and nothing.  I finally gave in and had the talk with him.  He knew that I knew about the ring so that was not the big deal.  I finally just gave him an ultimatum because if he was not sure by now then I was just not willing to wait.

I then planned a trip to Vegas and it came down to the vacation was either going to be a celebration of an engagement or a really great way to say good bye and still be on good terms.

Well, we talked and talked and it came down to I really freaked him out about 3 months prior due to a huge break down when my younger brother got engaged.  It scared him.  We talked and talked and worked it out and well…Vegas was a huge celebration of an engagement!

I know this is not the most normal thing to do, but we are very upfront and blunt people so it worked for us.

i was putting away laundry the other day and found an envelope in my boyfriend’s sock drawerer.  the envelope has descriptions of an engagement ring.  I opened it.  It’s the ring that his dad gave his mom over 30 years ago.  I don’t know how long it’s been there, but I HAD to try it on.  LOL.  I’m not saying a word.

he had a huge list finally he just put the ring in her suitcase with a note (b.c. she was heading home for xmas with her family and he was staying) She found it and said arn’t you going to do this right and he got on a knee and asked in the room while she was rushing to the air port good thing too they lost her bag lol

My boyfriend got really drunk one New Year’s Eve and told me that he was going to propose to me soon. Well once he sobered up i couldn’t find the courage to question him for more information so i told all my friends and waited. After about eight months of waiting for my special moment I accidentally opened the wrong credit card bill and noticed a rather expensive purchase. Again, I didn’t want to say anything to him mainly because i knew that he would be upset so I waited again. Then  randomly one evening he told me in his sleep that he had bought me a ring. I kinda tried to have a conversation about it and asked him when he was going to propose but he was sleepy and just rambled on about rubbish. So again I waited. He then made special plans to take me away for a romatic break at Christmas and I noticed that he had googled special landmarks at the holiday location. Within a few days I had managed to figure out how and where he was going to propose. I spent weeks fantasizing about how I would react, what I would say, what I would wear etc etc…. Then out of the blue one evening, he asked me to go out for a dog walk. It was raining and I had my pjs on so was very reluctant but agreed in the end and off we went. I got engaged in a muddy field, in the rain wearing pjs with two cocker spaniels. I was so surprised that i cried for the rest of the evening. It was the best moment of my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world… I guess what I’m saying is that you should give him time and let him pick his moment. when it does happen, all the frustration will melt away into insignificance and you will feel amazing.
