I also didn’t want standard "bridal shoes" (i.e. dyeable). Not because I wouldn’t wear them again, but because the dress I would wear later in the reception is a dark teal and it wouldn’t go with ivory shoes.
My ideal shoe would be: Silver, high heel (3.5 or more), covered back, ankle strap, COMFORTABLE for wide feet, and under or close to $50 (don’t want to spend a lot of money on shoes that would barely be seen).
The search was very frustrating. I just couldn’t find the right pair of silver shoes. It was starting to look like I’d have to settle for dyeable DB shoes. Then on a weekend trip to NY I found these:
My Fiance and my Mother-In-Law loved them. They cover all my requirements. And the best thing? They only cost $19.99! I’m excited and relieved.
P.S. I know many of you might think ivory dress and silver shoes don’t match, but the beading and embroidery on my dress is silver.
Since there are so many "found my shoes" posts, I’d love to see everyone else’s shoes as well.

I got my shoes in the mail this week and I am completely in love with them too. Doesn’t it feel great to find that perfect thing you were looking for? I spent more than I wanted ($75 on sale from $130!), and in fact these are the most expensive shoes I have ever owned (besides athletic shoes maybe). But then again, my wedding dress was only $60, so I guess I can splurge. I am also wearing ivory, but I bought these gold flats:
The only problem is I want to wear them now! But I am trying to wait until the wedding is a little closer (which is in November, so far away).

Sherezada, forgot to mention your shoes are amazing! I love them! I would wear these, but then I would be like a giant looming over my more petite groom. With the flats are at least even, and I will be super comfortable all night. When is your wedding?

Sherezanda, love your shoes so pretty. Wish I can wear higher heels. Fiance is about my height so I didn’t want to go above 2 1/2. After searching for over 6 months on a pair of red shoes that are comfortable and not over 2 1/2, I found these yesterday http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000K38X1K/ref=nosim/?tag=dealtime-shoes-20&creative=380333&creativeASIN=B000K38X1K&linkCode=asn Endless assures me that they have been ordered and shipped but when I went to look at them online today, they were all gone in red. They had at least 6 different sizes in red yesterday. I hope I don’t have to start the shoe hunt all over again.
