I have found my dress! I am so happy! To appreciate the full comedy and happiness of this moment, you’d need to know that I have been feeling down about finding the right dress, and that I was looking for a simple sheath dress for a small garden wedding with 24 guests.
Well, my Mum came to help me find a dress this week and I tried on all kinds of things. I have chosen a big, floral, ball gown! I am in love with it. It is very silly and frivolous, but such a joyful dress. I’m keeping it a big secret as no one would ever expect me to choose a dress like this, it will be a surprise on the day! Not least for my fiancé!
Anyway, here is a photo. I bought the sample for a £1000 reduction (not joking), it will need taking in at the bust and waist, but hopefully you can imagine how it’ll look after alterations.

@pengoala: Thank you! 🙂 I really love it. I still have that big smile on my face that you can see in the photo, and that was taken yesterday morning. The front shot does hide some of the very long train….I may not fit either into the glass house where my reception is being held, but I do not care 🙂 x

Thank you 🙂
I’m so glad to be able to share secrets with fellow Bees. With only 24 guests I really can’t share too much excitment with friends and family or it’ll ruin the surprise. I’m determined to make them think I’ve gone for one of the simple shealth dresses I’ve been showing them and not really feeling sure about. xx

@PeachSnapple: thank you 🙂 the wedding will take place in a Victorian walled garden, and we’ll then eat a big afternoon tea in an original glass house in the garden. I will be able to get through the door really (I called to make sure), but it is a small venue, so the dress is impractical. Well, unless is a hot day, if it doesn’t rain they’ll bring the tables out to the lawn and there will be lots of space. X
