Dont look. After all the work and love your FH put into getting your ring and the future proposal, you owe him your authentic reaction ๐Ÿ˜‰

Put yourself in his shoes.. he is looking forward to this big moment and thinking it will genuinely be the first time you have seen the ring so let him have that, it’s his moment too!! I think us ladies forget that sometimes. ๐Ÿ™‚ It will be worth the wait.

Don’t look because then if you don’t like it, you’ll just obsess over what you don’t like about it.

I could try to tell you to not look and be patient and blah blah blah but I would totally look. That’s just who I am. I have every year of my life snooped my christmas presents. I would wait til my parents leave and search every corner and crack of my house. I hate surprises. I hate the whole “opening a gift in front of people” thing not knowing what it is. So I’ll tell you to wait and not look but I’d totally look.

Maybe its hidden where you found it but the ring is not in the box? Maybe there is a beer pop tab in there for him to goof on you,

maybe he put a mouse trap around it so when you touch it your fingers get snapped.. beware.

Don’t peek! I know you don’t want to look disappointed, but he wants it to be a surprise or he wouldn’t have hidden it. I would have a really hard time not peeking too though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

KonaSensation:  Don’t look. There was a thread on here a few months ago where a girl found “her ring”, peeked and HATED it. She was devastated and vented to a female friend of hers how HIDEOUS this ring was and how no self-respecting woman would say yes to a proposal with that ring.

Welp, turned out the ring was NOT for the OP but was for that friend she vented to! The OP’s boyfriend was hiding it for the friend’s SO. Not only did the OP’s boyfriend break up with her but it ruined her friendship with the other couple.

Extreme story but moral of it? DON’T LOOK.

As tempting as it may be, don’t look! That ring will be on your finger soon enough ๐Ÿ™‚

ChrissyMary9515:  Omg foot in mouth. Sounds like something that would happen in a sitcom!

OP, I saw this post when you originally posted but forgot to weigh in with my identical opinion. Checked back in to see if you’d updated with a pic and story!! Good luck with sitting tight ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sure it’s extremely difficult not to sneak a peek but don’t! Let yourself be surprised.. Whichever ring he picked will represent what he liked and wants you to show off for the rest of your life so just remember even if you’re a little disappointed that he picked that one for a reason! Good luck with everything:)!
