I think telling your sister is a great idea, particularly if you trust that she can keep it to herself. That way she can look out for you at the hens night, and she and your FH can help you at the wedding.
Congratulations! Such an exiting time for you 🙂

zpkj : Congrats! Hope you have a healthy and safe pregnancy!
I found out I’m pregnant on the last day of my honeymoon, which means 5 days ago. I’m almost 5 weeks now and feeling so over the moon! I only told my parents, my sis and my brother-in-law. Will wait for my pregnancy to establish first, then I’ll tell my friends, etc.
Lets all hope we bring healthy babies in the world!

zpkj : congrats, BUT… a small word of caution. There’s a fairly high chance you’ll miscarry if you conceived right after stopping BC. Your hormone levels are still really whacky (most likely). It’s actually not uncommon to get pregnant the first cycle after stopping BC but then not stay pregnant. Happened to my sister – she miscarried 2 Days after she told the family at 5 weeeks. I’m hoping you have a sticky baby, but just saying to be cautiously optimistic at this point.

If you really don’t want people to know, say that you are taking antibiotics on your bachelorette. Says you are taking flagyl for urinary trac infection – you actually can mix alcool with most antiobitic, but flagyl is one of the few that can make you really sick if you do, like vomiting and stuff. Because people are expecting you to be drunk at the end of the bachelorette, which can be hard to fake… People don’t really expect you to be drunk at your wedding, so use the antibio excuse for the bachelorette. 😉
If the wedding is like a couple day after the bachelorette, well you still have that excuse and if not, it doesn’t matter that much, because it’ll be probably easier to hide the fact that you are not drinking at your wedding.

Hi guys! Just wanted to share a few photos from our wedding on 10/7. It was the most perfect day. We’re now on our honeymoon on Maui.
Baby is still holding strong. I’m about 6 weeks, 2 days today. We told my mom and sister the day we got there, and the rest of my family on Sunday. We’re going to wait a few more weeks to tell his family.
Here’s a teaser from our photographer from our portraits after the ceremony, taken on her phone:
