My Mom and I went to the Brides Against Breast Cancer gown sale Friday night, she bought VIP tickets I think they were only selling 150. It wasn’t too crowded and a whole lot of fun!
We had to go upstairs and look at the vendors first, then they lined us all up and let us in to look at the gowns. We were allowed to take 3 back to the fitting room and if you can believe it…the very first one I grabbed and tried on was “the one” I hadn’t heard of the designer, nor does it have a style number. It’s Emme Bridal, and through some google research, lol, I found that it’s Davinci Bridal? The original cost was $1200 and we paid $600 for it.
When I put it on, everybody stopped and said I had to get that one! One girls Mom was helping her daughter into her dress and actually stopped and almost went on and on about gorgeous it is!
The only thing that I don’t absolutely love about it is the open corset, it didn’t come with a modesty panel and the straps inside suggest it should have. That and my arms, I definetly need to tone them up 😉

Great dress! I’m sure a modesty panel would be easy to find.

A good seamstress can do ANYTHING – I would take your dress to a highly recommended or trusted seamstress and tell her what you are wanting to do with the panel and I am sure they will be able to do it. Congratulations on finding your gown!!!!!

Thank you 🙂
I keep looking at the pictures and wondering if I made the right choice.. It doesn’t look flattering from the back at all, will alterations help with that? I know it’s not fitted enough in the front. I just want to make for certain that this is it. I don’t know if I’m having buyers remorse or what…

@StbHisMrs: I got my dress the weekend before last and LOVED it when I had it on, but the second I started thinking about other dresses, I was wondering if I made a mistake. Last Fri, I started freaking out (thinking too much) and actually tried to cancel the order, but the store told me all sales are final. In the meantime, when I was waiting to hear back if I could cancel it or not, I realized that I do want my dress and there was a reason why I picked it. My friends thought I was crazy for second guessing myself, and they said I would do it with any dress I picked out. Just remind yourself WHY you loved that one 🙂
