What kind of books do you like??  I’m aching to read “A Night Like This” by Julia Quinn.  Just came out Tuesday!

@subbywife11:  ZOMG that was soooo good.  I love 50 Shades SOOO much better than Twilight!!!  I honestly skipped most of the sex stuff and read it as a love story.

If you have an Amazon Prime account, you can check out one book per month for free. Their Kindle Lending Library is brand new, so most books are not my cup of tea. But, the HP series is coming to it. And, if you look hard enough, I’m sure  you can find stuff that you like (I read Water For Elephants through the library). Also check out Project Gutenberg for free books  and The Kindle Daily Deal for affordable reading material.

Yayyy! I love my kindle! I have the touch (fire) one too. Probably 99% of the books I read I get from the free list on Amazon. They’re not always amazing, and you have to deal with some grammatical issues..but like you, I just like to read no matter what it is so it doesn’t bother me since they’re free! lol

@subbywife11:  Not to thread jack, but I’m thinking about getting a Kindle and I was wondering if you know the average price of books?  Or can you “rent” them?  From PPs, it sounds like there are free books available…I don’t want to be stuck buying a million books I’ll likely only read once (I <3 the library).

Ive bought books for really low prices and you can also get books for free :):)
The majority of my books are books that i’ve downloaded for free.
There is also this new option on amazone that you can loan books from the library…i havent tried that option yet.

@doxielove:  Yeah, you can borrow ebooks from the library.  Borrow from amazon if you have a prime account.  There are even some ebook borrowing sites. Like http://booklending.com/

I have borrowed them from the library but like all popular books, there might be a wait. I have loaned a book through the booklending site.

Oh, almost all Amazon ebooks allow you get a free sample.  It’s usually the first two chapters or something.  I can usually read the free sample before my library loan comes in.

If you have a friend who owns a kindle, they can loan you books, too.
