Lol ” maybe I should take your position” ha ha good thing you said it after needle was out ha ha. I have seen smaller dialmonds & white sapphires & even at a small size they don’t look alike ! Though I was really looking at them, but you have a larger stone so the difference should be more noticeable I would think..,

Well he sure made a fool of himself.

I can only assume that he was a jewelry salesman, (no way he was ever a jeweler), and worked in one of those maul stores with the included-to-heck diamonds, and assumed from this very worldly experience of his that the clarity yours had meant it couldn’t have been “real.”

@heathuhhhhwebbbb:  Wait- The phlebotomist said he works at a jewelry store and knows that it’s white sapphire? I mean, I understand having two jobs, but I wouldn’t consider a part time jeweler to be an expert.

What a complete ass! He should’ve completely backed off after you said you were sure. It isn’t his place to continue to give you a hard time… Even if he didn’t believe you. Idiot. Eff him.

Talk about rude, that guy should have just dropped the subject. Btw, love your ring too.

@chowderbiscuit:  Girl, that ring is to die for.

Rude and silly people are everywhere. A work colleague once argued with me that my solitaire is not square/princess cut but is in fact a round brilliant cut set in a four prong setting to make it look like a square cut.

So I guess I own the world’s first, and only, four-sided round brilliant cut diamond.

Undecided

WHY is no one concerned that jewelry-store worker is POSING as a health care worker and drawing your blood while talking shop!!! He’s obviously an imposter trying to sell diamonds to ususpecting patients!!

@heathuhhhhwebbbb:  I have a blue diamond, and I have so many people asking me if it’s a sapphire or what – which is fine, but then when I say no, it’s actually a blue diamond! I usually get a response of….oh….sure. Some have even asked me “are you sure it’s a diamond? How much did he pay for it? Are you sure he didn’t lie?” Excuse me? >.>

I gotta say though that any jeweler that I met at the bridal show I went to nearly jumped my hand and immediately knew it was a blue diamond. That being said, I don’t much care if everyone knows exactly what the stones are, but for goodness sake – the balls of some people to imply that my fiance flat out lied to me and got me a fake ring. Why would it even matter if it was fake? AND none of them know me well at all!
