I think I had a fashion faux pas today and I am wearing a dress I really want to LOVE!!! But I caught a glimpse and the cut makes me look pregnant! How depressing!!
I guess I’ve determined that babydoll dresses definitely do NOT work on me unless the material is cut closer to the body! I don’t even want to walk around in this thing.
Does anyone else have these moments? you would think I’d “get it” after years of dressing myself.

YES! I always have these moments! I get dressed for work thinking I’m doing a good job then catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror at work and wonder what on earth I was thinking. I think I just have trouble co-ordinating that early in the morning 🙂

Oh god, the dress I wore to my bridal shower was similar. I tried it on and in the mirror I kept checking out my profile and I looked great, I thought… but I just saw a picture my mom took at the shower and, from the front, I look about three feet wide!
Totally embarrassing. 😉 Hopefully no one else looked at me dead-on. 😉

Unfortunately, I know what you mean. Although babydoll dress, clothes, etc work in THEORY, they tend to be very unflattering on people unless that person is say, oh, 5’10” and 100 lbs.
I too avoid the babydoll clothes at all costs.

Well, it looked adorable on the hanger! I have a belly to boot so the added material isn’t doing anything. At least I’m not alone!

Oh yes, been there done that. A belt usually fixes the “look pregnant but not pregnant” style of clothing that is in right now. It just looks hideous on me! Big boobs+ flounsy dress just screams “knocked up” to most people. Looks cute on petite women, but definitely that is not me.

boobs = me :-(, well 😀 to the boyfriend but for clothes – forget it!

I often feel the same way….something I put on at 6:30am and think looks great on me, seems to look frumpy by lunch time. Ahhh, the joys of early workday mornings. =)
