@PPONIXIV9212: You are SO CUTE in that dress! Your flowers are beautiful. And I love the roses on your white cake, they remind me of the designer wedding dresses that have the huge fabric roses ont he skirts.
You did a gret job of a budget wedding, it’s quite charming.

Thanks everyone! The location was the Tea Room at gambrill State Park in Frederick MD.. It was beautiful and CHEAP!
We rented it for two days for $500

@bridalprincess: thank you so much! We had 45 guests, and we did a soul food buffet. We saved the most money by picking a venue that had virtually no rules for catering, so we were able to hire any caterer we liked and we brought in our own alcohol which I bought wholesale.. We only sersang peach sangria, which we made from box wine, beer and prosecco. I bought the flowers from a wholesaler in Md and DIY’d the bouquets and arrangements the day before.
the bulk of the budget went to catering which cost us about $1300
decor was mostly DIY with a few etsy purchases $300
venue $500 for 2 days
i did my own hair but hired a makeup artist, one of my bridesmaids sister in law so we got a great deal $90
the photog was a recent grad and a friend of DH at Howard University so we got a great deal $375
DH is a graphic designer so all the graphics for invitations, my DIY paddle fans and other signage was made by him for free.
our wedding bands and my morganite e ring were bought from etsy a total of $1000
oh and flowers were about $130
thats just off the top mod my head
