Check with your doctor before doing anything, many people who get pregnant at that age have lots of complications and do put the childs health at risk. For example the chance for downsyndrome increases dramatically. But if your doctor doesn’t see any problem with it then more power to you!

joelle.arqueros:  No it is not crazy. My grandmother had my dad at 47!  I am myself 40 and we are trying for baby #2.  If you are healthy and your doctor says it is okay go for it. We have an almost 3 year old ane want another.

If you want to and your doc sHas no qualms, then do it! I don’t think its crazy at all. I mean I would be crazy if you were struggling and unable to support your first child, but otherwise go for it!

If you feel up to it- go for it! Only you know how you feel and what you are up for.

My mother’s high school bestie had her first and only child at 47. He was perfect. No developmental or behavioral issues at all. Go for it if you want another

My grandma had my mom at 44 and had a fine pregnancy.  Although my mother was a breech baby.
