black friday is amazing! i got shoes for $20!! i was looking for short wedges that i could wear on the beach during the ceremony and for the bonfire beach party we are having as part of our reception later that night.
what do you think? do you like them? think i can walk on down the beach sand aisle?
i am a bit worried the heels are too thin (or narrow?) that i won’t balance properly on the sand. but they were such an awesome deal, i couldn’t pass them up! i really hope they work! i will pack my silver flip flops as a back up i guess. and i might buy more fancy heels for the indoor dinner portion of the reception, (because i really wanted get purple shoes!) so i am happy i only spent $20 on these!
ps. please excuse my horrible toe polish – its winter and i am letting it come off on its own since i can’t wear open toe shoes anymore!!

just realized no one could tell what i meant by them being “narrow”. here is a view of the shoes from the bottom so you can see what i mean.

Oh, they are cute. I think they will be fine for walking in the sand. The soles are narrow at the heel, but with the straps they should be fine!!! Adorable!!

They are adorable! You’ll be able to walk in the sand with those, just becareful, walking in the sand with ANY shoe you have to watch your step. 🙂
But they’re beautiful!!!!!

Those are fabulous!! A bit of bling on the beach, I love it!

they are super cute! but i do wonder if you’ll have a hard time walking… honestly, why not go barefoot?? you’ll be getting sand in your shoes whether you go with wedges or flat sandals.

@Kemi82Justice of the Peace: i thought about going barefoot, but i am afraid the sand will be too hot! plus my dress is more on the fancy-ish side for a beach wedding, so i wanted the shoes to be at the same level. we’ll see! i will practice before the wedding since we will be there 2 days early, i’ll have time to figure it out.
here is the dress i am wearing – it won’t be quite as puffy as i believe the model is wearing a hoop slip under her dress. i like it better with a little less pouf.

Cute shoes! Love the bling on them!

As to whether or not you will be able to walk in them, I think it will depend on how packed the sand is. I know you stated that you thought the sand might be too hot to go barefoot, but that is what I would do, if at all possible. If I were you, I would wear foot jewelry for the ceremony, and then change into these for the indoor part.

lovely shoes! since the heels are flat, you should be able to walk comfortably even on the sand;) the only thing is you’ll still be getting sand in your shoes/feet. if i were you, i would simply go barefoot, enjoy the nature…..feel the sand, even it might be a bit hot. after a whle, our feet will get used to it anyway. save the nice shoes for indoor:) totally agree with noritake22

@noritake22: & @mjc: i will definitely consider barefoot. however i got these shoes specifically for the beach. they were so cheap, i figured it didn’t matter if they got sand and dirty. originally i wanted to get fancy purple wedding shoes for the dinner part. and if i find “the” purple shoes i was dreaming of, then i will likely get them for indoor and use these for the beach.
But who knows, i am happy i have shoes now and they are totally comfortable, so saving some $$ and having only $20 wedding shoes sounds like a good option too! i will definitely have my dress altered to barefoot level so i can decide up until my wedding day what to do!
