Yesterday I posted that I couldn’t wait to see what Jim got me for my birthday. Well, it was not a sewing machine like he joked about. It was a Nook! I’m so excited. I’ve been wanting one for a while, and he knew that. I’ve only shown it to him every time we go to Barnes & Nobel!! I love it! I’m just waiting for it to charge now.

Oh, congrats! I seriously want an e-reader. We don’t have Barnes and Noble here in Canada, so the Nook is out. Now the Kindle is available here, but the only reason I haven’t purchased one is becuase due to copyright laws, WAAAAAAAAAAAY less books are available for download to Canadians than our American neighbors. So until they make more books available to Canadians, I am going to wait.
Enjoy your Nook! I love to read 🙂

@Loribeth: so jealous! i’ve been eyeing the kindle! Fiance wants a nintendo DS, so the other day we made a compromise that we’ll get those the week we have in between the wedding and the honeymoon with a lil bit of our wedding money! 🙂 so so so excited!

I have a friend in Australia who has complained about the same thing. I don’t understand why the copyright laws prevent books from being sold everywhere. It doesn’t make sense. Why are some people allowed to read a book and others not allowed to… Weird.
Kindle was like my third choice. Nook was my second choice, but I knew that the iPad was not an option for my birthday. Who knows, maybe I’ll get that for Christmas. Although, I really would like those diamond earrings I hinted for!!! haha!
I think using your wedding money is good compromise!!!

@babyboo: I can see how she could get addicted to it! Right now JIM is playing with it.
