SOOOOOOO I’m a maggie y’all!!!
But my fiance is my best friend (as it should be) and I want to know if it he’ll love it too.
Does anyone think it’s a good idea to show him a stack of dresses to see his 5 favorites, and see if my dress is in there??? I want to know he’ll love it!

Don’t do it, cos if he doesn’t like your dress you’ll feel pretty sad and then the dreaded dress regret will creep in!
And to be honest, the dresses in the magazines look TOTALLY different on in real life, so even if he didn’t think much of the dress in the magazine he’ll still think you look fantastic.

Don’t! If he doesn’t pick it I think you’ll have unnecessary dress regret!

Don’t allow a chance of scrutiny to prematurely judge your dress or any piece of your look. The day of your wedding, your dress will be ready to shine in all its glory as it was meant to be, because you will be ready to shine in all your glory. Your hair and makeup will be done, you’ll have the jewelry just so, your veil or flower or whatever in your hair, the shoes, and your smile! Not to mention all the inner work you will do up until that point and how you will grow as a person. Allow it all to come together perfectly that day, in that moment.

I would NOT NOT NOT do that, for all the reasons listed above.

don’t go there, you’re opening yourself up for let down, and isn’t it better he not see the dress until the day? i know he won’t know it’s your dress in there when you’re showing him pictures, but he will realise on the day, that he already saw the dress before… and i am sure he will think you look amazing 🙂

I did it. I have idea why I did but I showed my Fiance 45 dresses and then we eliminated them one by one. Well to my surprise out of the 45 dresses my dress ended up being his 2nd favorite. A picture of my reception gown was in there to and when it came to that dress he said it was so so but I’m sure he is going to love it on me.
I honestly don’t know how I would’ve felt if he didn’t like my dress.

Whatever happens, you know he’ll think you look out of this world on your big day. Therefore, you have nothing to gain in risking it not being in the top 5. You can show us though!

I did it he hated it… It kind of hurt … A lot.

I do that all the time. He never picks my dress. Haha.
What I did eventually is find a dress as similar to mine as possible, and another shape I have considered wearing and see which he likes best.
Men usually barely even see the differences between dresses… so he’ll probably just pick ones that seem appealling, and then end up doing the opposite next time you show him the same ones.
I also showed my fi pictures of me in other dresses I’ve tried on (after purchasing the one I have) and he says they all look good once there on me! (What a suck up! 😉 )
But it’s true, they aren’t interested in the dress until it is on you.

yea he won’t even look at the bridesmaid’s dresses in case they lend him a hint of what mine looks like.
