I didn’t think finding a bra would be more difficult than finding my dress! I have a large chest (about a F or G cup when I go for full coverage). I would like to find something with enough support, but also be able to show off a little cleavage as I will be altering this dress to have a sweetheart neckline. Any suggestions would be so helpful! (When I was trying on this dress, it was a standard push up. I took the straps off, and it basically fell off the girls!)

I’m having cups sewn into my dress for a few reasons. The biggest one being that strapless bras are awful and uncomfortable when you’re busty.
Secondly, my cousin wore a strapless dress and a strapless bra under it and in different poses/positions you could actually see the bra in pictures. Not that it happens to everyone, but it’s easy to avoid with cups!

Rule of thumb on strapless bras is to go down a rib size and up a cup size.
I bought a Freya Deco bra.

Is there a way to go without? I’m chesty too, but I decided against a bra. Strapless ones legit are a torture chamber. My seamstress altered the fit so I could go without. Never lost a boob the whole night.

I am a 34DDD so I understand your problem. I have to start searching too. I am so scared to go braless because I need the support. Have you tried any specialty shops ?
btw- I love your dress.

I’m a G/H cup and my bridal boutique had to order my gown with extra boning otherwise the weight of the girls would’ve pulled the top down. I guess with the combination of the corset and more boning I can officially go w/o a bra. Could you see if your seamstress is willing to give your bodice more structure?

Thank you so much for all the advice. I think I may tryng seeing if I can get cups sewn in and add more structure to the bodice. I love the idea of not having to wear a bra on my big day, but I will have to find an excellent seamstress. Thanks again!

This is what I went with and it was amazing! It is a Goddess brand lace bustier. I actually went up a band size, and down a cup size. I’m a 38DD and the perfect fit was a 40D. I found one on ebay for super cheap.

Make sure there is boning in the dress and you won’t go anywhere and it will hold them up too
