I got it!!! I got my wedding dress!!! I absolutly LOVE it and it is perfect for my wedding venue and it makes me feel beautiful and glamorous. Exactly how I wanted to look! I originally picked a different dress and it ended up being WAY more than I felt comfortable with my mom paying. So, I went on the hunt again. I didnt think that I was going to find anything that would excite me as much as the dress that I originally found but once I found my Beryl by David Tutera I knew that there was a good chance that was going to be the wedding dress! I got all excited again. I think I got even more excited than my original dress. I didnt think that was going to happen! and it was within the budget that I wanted to say in for my mom! After trying on this dress, returning 2 more times to different salons to try that dress on in different colors, and try to see if I could beat the David Tutera, I decided to pull the gun and show it to my family. They liked it! They liked it even more than the original dress!
So, when I tried the dress on, I didnt think that it needed a belt, but the consultant added one and I was surprised at how much I liked it. Im on the fence though. Sould I get one or should I forgo the belt? That is the question.

I like it with the sash. Without the sash it looks like a totally different dress!

I usually don’t think a sash adds anything to a dress but it seems to add something to yours! It’s beautiful!

I definitely like the sash!
I bought a DT also – I had my first fitting today but unfortunately I couldn’t find a belt I liked so I’ll probably go without.
They certainly aren’t cheap, either!

You look beautiful! I tried on that DT dress too and you look 1000x better than I did in it. Congratulations on finding your perfect dress!!! I agree with you 100% about the sash. They are actually pretty easy to make though! They use standard ribbon and you can find what ever kind of applique you want at craft stores or even online. I found some really nice ones on etsy that are about $30! They end up looking just as good as what you would buy at a salon but for MUCH more reasonable price. If I go with a sash I am totally making my own 🙂

I have to agree with the majority of my fellow bees here. The sash brings it all together perfectly and flatters your figure.

Thank you everyone! I think I will be on the hunt for the perfect aplique to make the sash. I think I will go with a colored sash to help give the beading a bit of contrast. Thanks for everyones input! It helps a lot!
