How is this for a nightmare situation? I am an average-plus size woman. Size 16/18. However I have a 38H chest.
Soooo today I went to a boutique to try on gowns. Super exciting until I discovered they only have one sample size for the things they carry, sizes 8-12.
So the good news. I can fit in a size 8.
The bad news: It takes half an hour of struggling, soul searching, crying and slamming my boobs to get out of a size 8.
Please tell me someone else here has a story like this! I’m just grateful it was my chest. I’m not ashamed to be large chested! I went home to my fiance and told him I needed a hug. He asked why. I told him. Sure enough, he busted out laughing. I’m sure I will find this hilarious tomorrow. =

@MrsFutureG: Being stuck in a dress is terrifying! My shoulders got stuck in mine while my arms were straight up over my head and I had to yell for my Maid/Matron of Honor to come release me from this 15 pound taffeta and tulle prison tube. I would MUCH rather have my chest be what trapped me haha, it just reaffirmed my thoughts that I have wide shoulders. Glad you got free 🙂

I didn’t get stuck in a dress but I almost fell out of one. Everytime I went to try one on and they asked my bra size to get me a longline to try it on…I told them good luck. Of course after insiting they carry everything I tell them 32DDD(F)…ha yea as always they don’t have it so I generally have to settle for 2 cup sizes too small. Match that with a low neckline dress and I am pretty sure they whole shop saw my nipples….I did not find it entertaining at the time but now I laugh….kind of like the time the girls made a button fly off a shirt and almost take someone’s eye out….stupid large chests having to ruin everything

Oh my! I can totally relate!
I was out with my FH and we saw this lace sleeved vintage lace dress in, of all places, a Red Cross store. Of course I just had to try it…
It had buttons all down the front, I got it over my head, wriggled a little… and then the darned waist got stuck on my girls. It wouldn’t go up, it wouldn’t go down and there I was with yards of lace all around me, my girls squished… and my FH bent over double laughing.
I finally got out of there with much manhandling and yanking and enough stretching to make a yoga guru proud. LOL… I didn’t even manage to find out if the dress fitted the rest of me 😛

Oh no!!! I have bigger hips, and I got stuck in a pair of really expensive jeans once. I nearly cried in the change room. It will be funny later I promise!

That suddenly reminded me… One time I was at a bridal studio trying on mermaid gowns, it was reaaallly fitting and I was wriggling my a** trying to shimmy out of it when I heard this ripping sound! I swear to you my heart almost stopped!.
Thankfully, the assistant didn’t remark on it and the gown looked fine, but yea bakerella, it was enough to make me want to cry.

On my sisters wedding day, I (MOH) had to literally scoop her bum in to her fit and flare gown. When she had her fitting, this was not an issue, but sure enough on wedding day, there was some bum swell (hahaha) and I had to manipulate her bare butt cheeks into the dress! I wonder what her hubs had to do to get her out!!
