Yup. I’d go pick it up! You don’t have to start altertions until a couple months before.     = )

Go try it on if you want to! I did that when my dress came in last November. It was great and exciting to try it on again. 🙂

My dress is hanging out at the bridal shop until July when I start my alterations. I would wait for alterations. There is no need to rush that and you will need more alterations if you gain or lose weight.

Good luck!

How exciting!  My suggestion would be for you to go to the store and see the dress and try it on.  Be sure to take your camera to get pictures of you in it.  Then leave the dress with the store so that it can be altered at a later date.  I believe most bridal shops will keep them there for you until it’s time for you to be fitted.  Congrats on your engagement!

I picked up my dress and I have it in a closet at my parents house.  Just keep it there until you need to start your alterations.  Of course you could go stare at it any time you want… that is what I do.

I went and tried it on when it came in, but the bridal salon is storing it for me until just before the wedding, I will go there for the fittings/alterations, and they will keep in in their vault until my mom goes and picks it up for me 2 days before the big day!

DEFINITELY go visit it! Afterall, you need to double check that they ordered the right dress/size (but mostly you just want to see her!)

How exciting! Not to sound like a broken record, but I would definitely go try it on and have the alterations done at a later time.
