@mrsaxachef:  I normally just tell them to ask my SO!! And then I change the subject…usually to something about them or their relationship, haha.

It depends on the person and what kind of reaction I’m looking for. I really want to try “When I’m knocked up” on someone but haven’t had the opportunity yet haha.

I completely get the frustration. We went on a trip to NYC just before Christmas, because its NYC at *Christmas*, and when we came back people kept asking where the ring was. Just like  @southsun:  I say the same. Its not my decision, its his! I am not a mind reader. It’ll happen when it happens…

@mrsaxachef: Ugh. I hated this. Got asked similar things for YEARS and some people were super annoying about it. The other thing I’d say was, “Don’t worry about it.” kinda deadpan. It’s like saying “NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.” but easier to say.

@mrsaxachef:  Ugh I hate this question, so rude!

I’ve been asked that too and have said “ask Mr. Meow” but I have been very tempted to say “where are your manners, I thought you would have learned them by now!”  lol

@mrsaxachef:  I feel ur pain. It always hits u a little when asked. I have been asked: “when’s the wedding? when are you getting engaged?” My answer has always been the same. It is: “when we’re ready”. Lol. We have set a wedding date so I tell them it’s next year with a big smile. Nobody will know that asking such questions kinda kicks me in the stomach a little cuz I will not show it and if they dare try to be negative, I’ll put them in their place. I rather discuss it with my SO, not them.

@mrsaxachef:  I just smile sweetly and say oh nothing yet but you will be the first to know. Then I wink at them, smile and walk away.

@mrsaxachef: I have a string of snarky comments… I’ll be honest, it’s actually gotten fun to see people’s reactions to my snark.

It’s no one’s business but ours.

@mrsaxachef:  An older co-worker of mine (very prim & proper lady) used to tell me to respond to the “when are you getting married/engaged” with “when I find someone who will ask me” lol. I never used it because i thought it sounded like he *won’t* propose and didnt want to give that impression, but i was always tempted to try it out lol. I always just used the “Not my department/not up to me/ask the boss” lines
