I am so excited!!! I had my first interview with this company about 2 1/2 weeks ago and had been getting really nervous that I wasn’t going to get the job. But, I got a call todday and they offered me the position. I’ve been unemployed since September, and this was the first job that I applied for that I actually wanted. I start on Monday!
Now to get some real “work clothes” since the office that I worked in for the last 5 years was incredibly casual. Since I’m 6 feet tall and all arms and legs, this may be a challenge 🙂

Congratulations!! New York and Company has long inseams, so if you have one in your area you should check it out 🙂

As for the clothes situation, consider a consignment shop to buy a 3 piece suit-skirt, pants , jacket. Then buy a coordinating pair of pants.
You can add any number of blouses and tops to start off your workwardrobe at low cost as you have been unemployed for a few months.

I went to The Limited and bought 2 pairs of pants (since their inseams are long enough). They are having a suit sale next month, so I have one in mind that i will get if I need it.
@Boopers: believe it or not, their inseams are too short for me. I need at least 35″, and even then I can only wear flats. I’m all legs (which can be a good thing).

@bpcmarj: Wow really? I wear a 34″ inseam and I thought they also sold up to a 37″ inseam. I hope you find something that fits you, I completely understand your frustration in finding long enough pants 🙂
