well, I’m not kidding when I say I would not go, and I do like the idea of sending a donation to Goodwill. How can someone be so flipping ignorant??? I mean, really?

I would LITERALLY call her and ask if something really wrong happened with the invitations.  That is too crazy not to comment on.  I would do it under the guise of being worried a joking versions of the invites went to print by accident.

OH HELL NO.

That is UNBELIEVABLE! It’s not even wedding etiquette- that’s LIFE etiquette! I would not go simply because I wouldn’t want to be around someone that thinks that’s okay! Sorry if she is a close friend of yours, but WOW!

It’s the level of manners you expect to see on Bridezillas.

I like the check to Goodwill idea.

Remeber on Real Housewives when one of the women gave an etiquette book to another?  I wonder if someone will photocopy a page from an etiquette book that says not to mention gifts on a formal invite and put it in an envelope. 🙂

@meliss- LOVE IT.

Okay so what about getting her an etiquette book with the section on invites/gifts tagged… then put it in a box. Then put that box in a bigger box. Then put that box in a bigger box. Then put that box in a refrigerator box. I’m positive if you take that invite to home depot someone there will hook you up with boxes. It would be so fantastic…

I’m reading some of the suggestions out loud to my Fiance.  We’re howling with laughter.  I was laughing so hard when I got to CorgiTales’ Home Depot comment that I could barely speak.

There should be a bad etiquette hall of fame.
