Ok, so it was just in a dream, but it was so real!! I swear this baby fever thing is getting out of control! Plus, I started crocheting a baby blanket for my sister who is due in the Fall, so I think that’s hit some sort of trigger. I literally NEVER remember my dreams, but I remember every little detail about this one…down to the way my baby smelled! It was a boy, but I wrapped him in a pink blanket and my mom had bought like $1,000 worth of clothes from Babies R Us on the way to the hospital, but they were baby girl clothes. She just shrugged her shoulders and was like “It’s ok, I can just swing back by and exchange this stuff for boy stuff.”What does it all mean?! When Darling Husband and I do start TTC, I honestly don’t care whether we have boys or girls…I just want happy, healthy babies. And in my dream, no one seemed excited that I had given birth to our son. Darling Husband was actually nowhere to be found in the dream, but everyone who saw the baby was like “Eh…congratulations…”
So anyway…I just can’t seem to shake my dream this morning! It was so real and vivid! I need a prescription for my baby fever!

I’m right there with you! I had a baby dream last night, too. I actually really want a girl (one of both, actually), but in my dream I had the most beautiful little boy with red hair like me, and my husband’s big blue eyes. And I remember the feel of holding him in my dream – he was a chunker!
It certainly doesn’t help the baby rabies when your sub-conscious just serves it up in such a realistic way!

@SadieBee: Haha! Baby Rabies – I love it! Are you and your husband TTC right now? We’re going to try and wait about 2 years (we just got married!) but everyone around me is having babies and I can feel the hunger growing!

@SweetMelissa429: We’re in the middle of planning our wedding and my baby fever is so freaking bad right now! I almost want to elope and spend all the money we’ve saved on baby stuff. XD

@SweetMelissa429: We aren’t TTC just yet, but we’re getting ready to – I’m going off the pill in a month and we’re going to try this fall or winter. So at least it’s not too far off
I think my dream was actually a result of the completely irrational bout of pregnancy symptom spotting I’m in the middle of (even though there’s very little chance I could be preggo since, you know, I’m on the pill). So dreaming that I actually do have a baby isn’t helping me be more rational! But I’m supposed to get AF tonight or tomorrow, so that will end my craziness…or this month at least

Oh I have had 1 of these dreams – and it was so very real. Too real. I had a baby girl and she was the most beautiful baby I have ever seen, ever. It was so strange – I named her, we went shopping at a grocery store for frozen pizzas, my car was also being fixed in the dream, and I remembered that I needed a car seat for her. It was the weirdest dream, but one of the best dreams too. Very strange. I still can picture the whole dream vividly as though I just woke up from dreaming it and it’s been almost a year.

@SadieBee: Ha! If my baby fever comes back ever – that is the new term I will be using, “Baby rabies” my fiancee has had “baby rabies” since last October.

@SweetMelissa429: I am right there too!
I had a dream the other night that we had a baby girl (I wish!!!) and she was beautiful. I woke up a little sad that not only did I not have a baby girl and probably won’t as my DH’s family is strong with boys but I’m not even pregnant yet. It was such an amazing dream with warm feelings, what a let down.
We were planning to wait until the end of the year but now I am pushing for August/September. I want to be nearing the end of my first trimester by Christmas (yeah I know I’m far toooo particular).
