Well I asked advice a long while back about planning a budget baby shower and I want to say thank you all for the advice. I used every little piece of advice I got and had a wonderful shower for her and 50 friends and family under $400!
Then 3 weeks later she was due but went a week past her date and they scheduled her to be induced. Since I took photos of her shower and took some family photos of her and her boyfriend before the shower she said I could stay in the room and take photos of the birth! It was one of the most magical days of my entire life (besides my wedding and the birth of my own son).
When we got to the hospital for her to be induced they hooked her up to the machines and we found out she was already in labor. She had absolutely no pain so she didn’t even know. 4 hours passed and she still had no pain but they decided to break her water. Then the pain came and they gave her meds right away and she was back to barely feeling any pain. After another hour they told her it was time to push and with a little help from a suction cup and at a total of 6 hours in labor she had her wonderful, amazing, beautiful daughter!
I don’t know where to put this post but I was just so excited and wanted to share as well as say thank you all for the awesome advice.
I asked her if I could add a few photos of her and her baby and she said that was okay so here is the new little family and a few of the shower you wonderful bees helped me plan! It’s kind of like a story from the shower to the baby lol. Sorry it’s so many photos, just still VERY excited.
We used my left over wedding candy, we rented a park pavilion for very cheap that had electricity for music and grills on site. There was a park and lake for swimming right next to it so afterwards everyone could stay and enjoy the day. I made a diaper cake and put up a clothesline of onsies for simple decor. I got her a book for everyone to sign to remember the day and I got streamers and balloons for a little extra decor. We had hamburgers, hot dogs and beans a lot of fruit and tons of chips and drinks. I have a ton of hilarious photos from the games I had everyone play but I don’t want to post pictures of her friends that I don’t know.
I took these pictures before the shower and they were the reason she wanted me to capture her daughters birth.
And the labor lol
