- Wedding: December 2014
So I have gained about 10lbs since buying my dress (every brides goal… right?! NOT). I had bought my dress on clearance for $25 back in February. Well, my wedding is 12-13-14 and its getting close, so I had to finally go in and get it fit. I had been putting it off for weeks even though my mom was pushing for me to do it. I was SO afraid my dress wouldn’t zip.
Thankfully, it did!! The seamstress said that she didn’t even need to let it out as long as I don’t gain anyore weight. She said since it is a little snug that even if I lose 5-10lbs (which is what I’m hoping for!) that it should still fit perfectly. I’m just getting it shortened.
You can tell in the pictures that it is a bit snug, but I’m just SO happy that it zipped that I don’t care! Also, I kind of have a “back-butt,” but my hair is long and will be down (and fuller with extensions) so that should cover it up. And hopefully losing some weight will help diminish the “back-butt!”
So, here is my beauty!! She is an ivory ballgown with blush blossoms all throughout the dress. The belt came free with the dress (and its a Vera Wang!) and so I’m using that to help bring out the blossoms since they are so faint. The second picture is to help you see the blossoms… though they are much easier to see in real life.
