Ooh, I love the side view of your hair. I agree with @mypinkshoes that a half up might look great.
And yes, your foundation is too dark. She needs to go 2-3 shades lighter. I don’t know what it is with makeup artists and dark foundation–I went to get color matched at Ulta and she used a foundation that was about 5 shades too dark on me to “give me some color.” I HAVE color. It’s called pale. Foundation is to lay a foundation for the rest of your makeup. You can add color back (with blush and bronzer), but what she did is a huge no no. Your eye makeup looks too dark, as well, especially the liner. Way too harsh. Browns would be better for blue eyes and make them pop. Like @mypinkshoes said, makeup is supposed to enhance what you have.

I agree with PPs, your hair looks great but the makeup–oof! Defintiely not professional looking. Could you go with another MUA? It worries me that she did the makeup this dark and still wanted to go darker. I know you could ask her to change it and such, but I wouldn’t trust it to her. Also, TBH the foundation isn’t the only problem–the eyeshadow isn’t great either!
Anyway, your hair = perfection. Seriously. And you already seem to realize the make up wasn’t great, so I think you’re good to go 🙂

@magglemay-2013: Sorry for the lapse, school’s been busy:-). I’d say the foundation is too dark, and ask her to do a trial with a soft petal blush instead of the bronzer–the bronzer on your nose in particular is way too much, but with pink undertones like yours bronzer can give a muddy appearance to the complexion which is what you’re seeing in these photos.
Also she shouldn’t be lining your lower lid, and ask her not to tight line your eyes, it makes them appear smaller than they are. She killed it with the eyeshadow though! This is why we call them trials, eh? 🙂
