Oh no!  Maybe it could still work out?  Loans?  Rommates?  Working full time while going to school?  Darling Husband and I have survived through all of that.  I am sorry to hear that- if it is absolutely not possible at this time, make out a 3 year plan to get you back in there!

I’m sorry :(. Its fine you’re taking a year off… a lot of people do it. Plus it will help you to have more free time to be with your Darling Husband & to explore your new city. Are you guys able to find jobs? You could work this year & save for school & maybe take just 1 or maybe 2 classes or a community class or something to keep you in the swing of things.

That sucks. Are you working? At least it gives you time to now save up money so that you can for sure go to school next year, with or without a roommate

Have you thought out posting on the community boards at your school? theres all kinds of advertisements for roommates! Good luck.. I know it’s hard to take a year off, but it will be so much less stressful when you won’t have to worry about money and making sure all of your bills are paid.. it could be a GPA killer 🙁

I also like the idea of taking 1 or 2 classes at a community college (I suggest the harder ones… they tend to be easier there!) it’s not the plan.. but a  good substitute! maybe in the spring?

Well glad you guys both have good jobs! Yea, take the more hours! I would still try to get roomies to save more money, if you can.

I know a lot of times, once you stop school, it gets harder to go back. So that’s why I suggest taking even just 1 class or a community class… but volunteering is a GREAT idea! It will look very good on your resume if you have volunteering experience in the subject you’re getting your degree in. Shows you love it & are committed & can actually do it in “real life” :).

@soon2bhis:  If that is what is best, to wait- it will be okay.  A year can fly by.  I do think volunteering is a great way to gain experience and skills that can benefit the future.  It is such a touch job market out there!
