Sorry to hear you’re having to deal with that but hope it helps things to heal faster!  Enjoy your dress fitting – I’m sure that the staff will be happy to discuss options to make sure you feel comfortable in a well-fitted dress on the day πŸ™‚ Don’t stress!

That sounds horrible!  It’s great that you don’t have to have it for your dress fitting though!  Have you tried just eating more vegetables?  If you’re filling up more on those you will likely consume less calories.

I’m so sorry that happened to you πŸ™  Keep on trying to follow instructions to heal more quickly, as difficult as that may be.

I know you mentioned that you’re tracking calories, but are you tracking where those calories are actually coming from?  Like, 2000 cals of twinkies might look a little different than 2000 calories of chicken breasts and veggies.

Try MyFitnessPal- it is free, they have a mobile app, and it will actually break down your nutrients for you (so you know the breakdown of fat/carbs/protein).

Eat clean!  No processed foods, no prepackaged foods, no fast food.  Eat your calories, don’t drink them- nix the cream & sugar in your morning coffee, skip soft drinks, check the serving size on juices.

Swap out highly refined carbs (white rice, potatoes, or pasta) for a whole grain variety.  Eat at least a little protein with every snack and every meal- the protein takes longer to break down, so you won’t get blood sugar spikes followed by blood sugar crashes.  It’s called the glycemic index- definitely google that if you aren’t already familiar with the idea.

I hope your wound heals quickly!  Hang in there, and you’ll be back to exercising in no time!  Between now and then, focus on cleaning up your diet and hopefully you’ll at least be able to maintain and not gain πŸ™‚

@merrgan:  Maybe you need to cut back on what you’re eating. Weight loss is about 80% diet. Gaining 10lbs in 2 months while “dieting” is a huge problem. Do you follow a program? Weight watchers may help in this situation.
