@peachacid:  if it were me, I’d go to Payless and find some shoes that are the height you want. Alterations can hem your dress according to them, and it will buy you some time to find shoes with the same heel height that you do like, without being out much money.

I hear you on that!  I bought the most amazing shoes for my wedding day.  They had little beads and rhinestones on them but they felt like a medieval torture device.  I ended up wearing some old white pump my mom had in her closet.

With my dress, nobody would have even notice my shoes anyway.

@peachacid:   I’ve honestly never said those words in my entire life.  🙂

Can you go shopping this evening so you’ll have some to take with you to your fitting?  Shoes are important, lol.

I like DSW, Aldo and sometimes you can even find some cute stuff at Rack Room.  Is there a mall near you?  Shoes can be had.  Comfortable shoes, hmmmmm, a little more difficult.  For that I’d go as high end as possible, maybe a department store.

Yeah, it’s the heel that’s the important part. Just bring something close to the size heel you want.

… you could always go with a flat or a sandal? Wedges are generally comfortablt too.. if you are not a “Heel” lady these might be better and equally cute options for you?

@peachacid:  what’s wrong with flats? I see brides in flats often and it looks great. Nobody sees it anyway.

I’ve been having the hardest time looking for cute flats.  I shopped online on DSW.  They have free return shipping so I ordered 2 pairs.  Still waiting for them to come!

If your dress is floor length honestly ppl will hardly see your shoes. My mom wore ballet slippers (literally, I think they were Capezio) to her wedding and other than the garter toss picture (which lots of people don’t even do nowadays) you don’t see them at all, and she was comfortable, and if you do that you don’t have to buy them now, have it hemmed in your bare feet since they add NO height.

I wore PAINFUL 3″ heels but was so gloriously happy and frazzled and whatnot that I didn’t feel the pain until two seconds before we walked out for our sparkler exit (aka the first moment we were alone w/ no guests around and could breathe, I immediately thought “omg my feet are KILLING me”) but was able to walk around and dance all day/night without even noticing. (the pictures we took in a different location after the wedding were a bit of a torturous 30 minutes though, I must say)

@peachacid:  Do they have it in white? Dye it. Or you could get it Figgie’d if you can find it in regular leather.

Add FEET to that?  Worse.

@peachacid:  This totally made me laugh!  I’d say check out zappos or amazon, they have a free shipping for returns so you can try on the shoes, and send them back if you don’t like them.  The ones you posted are super cute though.
